Are you tuned in?

Rabbit in the spring grass

There’s been a reoccurring theme that’s come to my attention recently, and whenever that happens I figure that it’s not only me that needs the message.

How tuned in are you?

We are made of energy. Every atom in our body is vibrating. Every atom everywhere is vibrating. And all those vibrations are connected. We’re all made up of the same stuff, no matter what shape or form that stuff takes.

Our current lifestyles and cultural ‘norms’ keep us from remembering this, and in fact are functioning to actively prevent us from reconnecting with the universal hum that binds everything together.

In our current world it is an act of rebellion to choose to tune in to the universal energy. But it may be the thing that saves our lives.

When we deny our connection to All That Is, we are denying our very existence in this universe. It prevents us from accessing the wisdom of the universe, and it prevents us from hearing our own inner wisdom. We no longer trust ourselves because we’ve been conditioned to trust what’s outside of us more.

And the lack of connection to all that is, and our ability to access our inner wisdom, causes us to feel anxious, depressed, angry, tense, and all manner of other things. When we can’t hear the whispers, then our bodies (and our inner wisdom) has to scream, which gets very uncomfortable.

This is what the animals have been trying to tell us. This is part of why they want to connect with us so badly. They want us to feel good, and remember the things we’ve forgotten. It’s why they connect so much more easily with children sometimes - the children haven’t quite forgotten that connection yet.

So how often do you really tap into the universal source energy? How often do you take the time to be present to that rather than all the pings, dings, rings, bells, whistles and angry headlines vying for your attention.

Pay Attention is a phrase for a reason. Every time you give your attention to something, it is an exchange. What is the price you are willing to pay to give your attention to something? Is it worth your well being to pay attention to the endless scroll and headlines all screaming for your time and energy?

The tech world is designed to continually suck up our attention. It is so very costly to us, and yet we keep giving and giving and giving to it, until there is nothing left of us but a shell. An anxious, depressed, frustrated, angry, depleted shell.

What will you choose? What choice do you want to make? How do you want to be? I know the answer your pet would give you, and I think you would prefer that, too. Your soul would prefer that.

So take some time today, pause. Breathe. Reconnect. Start with your pet. Touch their fur, feathers, or scales. Find some dirt. Get some fresh air. Feel the sunshine. Feel the rain. Bask in the energy of All That Is - it’s everywhere, in the biggest trees, and the tiniest bugs. There’s a wealth of ways to connect. Put down the phone, turn off the screen, and just start noticing.
